I don't think my subscribers will be happy with that. I already had many complaints about the e-mail being slow, the captcha needing time to solve and the odds being demolished in a moment and was forced to use the sms alerts. I hope you could work something better than the e-mail alerts, because the truth is that for a buyer it's useless to receive a pick on odds 1.95 and having to bet on 1.74.

@DjibrilC9 This complaint seems typical for a re-seller trying to lure the tipster to turn ON the SMS alerts so that he can re-send the picks automatically hassle free and remain under the radar LOL If you don't mind please find and report to us these customers for investigations. 95% of paid services did not have SMS alerts enabled from the start and was never any problem at all.

@GoalScandinavian App can not stop re-sellers in any way. Even if we include screenshot detection, the clever re-sellers will just use two phones, get the pick notification on one of the phones and make picture from the other :) There is a final solution against re-sellers that we are working on and it may actually be ready even before the App, if some re-seller is reading this it is better to start looking for new career opportunities right away. LOL

@DjibrilC9 E-mail alerts are generally much faster and much more reliable than SMS alerts, so any Buyer complaining from slow E-mail alerts is either 1) having technical problem to setup his e-mail program properly at 5 seconds refresh rate for example or 2) is a fraudster, i.e. a reseller that has a bot for SMS and just wants to make you switch ON the SMS so that he can put the bot to work and don't have to be online 24/7 and deal with captcha, etc.

DjibrilC9 had this troubles before to add SMS service. He was forced to add SMS because captcha were slowering some of his costumers and the main of them couldn't to have de odds. So he added SMS.

good job Editor, dont stop it!

@factic it is very simple - captcha slows every human being pretty much the same, SMS enables bots to re-send picks or bet automatically in Pinnacle in 2 seconds, while normal humans needed 20-30 seconds. So if any customer is too pushy to have SMS most probably his motives are not very clean ;)

@igylinedog that's not in the top of the priority list at the moment, Pinnacle odds are by far the most often used from all high stake bookmakers (about 80% of all picks). So anyone looking for high stake services could just search for Pinnacle odds, the results will be pretty much relevant.

can anybody recommend an iphone email app that has a very short refresh rate?

I.R.O.N 03/02/2017 12:23#25
@Editor Of course Pinnacle is the most used. Thats because you are not offering Betfair Lay Odds. Should think about. I mean Blogabet cares about something like SMS shit. But will not think about Betfair Lay odds

@editor.blogabet.com I am glad that blogabet managed to sent an e-mail to all the users that it's decision of blogabet to quit using sms service and I don't have to explain to everybody that did or will send PMs complaining about odds. You know what is better for the place, so I personally have no problem with that. On the other hand I don't believe that about 12 resellers can be gathered within 1 service. But since blogabet took officially the responsibility for this move, I am glad to support it.

SMS alerts phased out for paid picks in Market
Dear Blogabet members,
We would like to inform all Buyers in Blogabet Market that SMS alerts for paid picks have been phased out with immediate effect as of today.
SMS is old and not reliable protocol that comes at a high cost and can not be protected against bot usage. Our recent investigation has revealed that re-sellers have been using picks received via SMS for automatic dispatch, which of course can not be allowed further.
Buyers that have so far relied on SMS for notifications for new paid picks should note that on all smartphones they can install an E-mail app and setup to get notifications for new incoming E-mails. In this way the free E-mail alerts for paid picks will work much better than SMS alerts as they are faster and more reliable.
SMS alerts are only better than E-mail alerts if you don't have a smartphone or mobile data connectivity, which nowadays are both very rare cases.
Best regards,
Blogabet Team
