Sportmarket Review

With 16 years of experience, Sportmarket is clearly one of the leaders in the betting brokerage industry. It is not a bookmaker per se, instead it gives access with a single account to 7 bookmakers and 4 betting exchanges, namely Pinnacle, SBOBET, MAXBET (formerly known as IBCBET), BETISN (formerly known as ISN), Singbet, Brokerage service, Betfair, Matchbook, BETDAQ and SPM exchange. Recently added bookmakers are MMMbet, AFB88 and 18BET.

**Changes since June 2017**

Due to new regulations, Betfair has restricted some countries. As a result, if you reside in one of the following countries, you will not be able to bet on Betfair via Sportsmarket Pro: Algeria, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Denmark, France (and French territories), Gibraltar, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Myanmar, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Turkey United Kingdom, United States of America (and US territories).

**Changes since October 2019**

Sportmarket has moved their business from Malta to the Isle of Man where they are regulated ever since.

Security and Reliability

Based in the Isle of Man, as of October 2019 Sportmarket Services Limited is licensed and regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission under a licence issued under the Online Gambling Regulation Act 2001 on 02/05/2019.

Unlike some betting brokers, Sportmarket does not take position on bets, thus lowering the risk for the players that they would run out of cash and not be able to pay them.

Deposits, Withdrawals, Fees

Sportmarket offers deposits and withdrawals via Bank transfer, Skrill/Neteller, EcoPayz, MuchBetter and bitcoin (BTC). The bet broker recommends using wire, as there is no fee charged by them and the fees for SEPA payments between European banks is minimal. Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz and BTC payments are charged 1% (minimum 10 EUR) to cover for part of the service fee that the eWallets charge. The broker supports only the currency of EUR.

Minimum amount for deposit/withdrawal is 250 EUR. All deposits/withdrawals and transfers are made via the main Sportmarket account. The bet broker tries not to charge currency exchange fees EUR to BTC and vice versa and normally uses the rate at www.xe.com.

**Changes Since February 2018**

After in April 2017, Sportmarket lowered their minimum bet from 50EUR to 25 EUR, in February 2018, they have further decreased it to just 10 EUR. This means that with your minimum deposit of 250 EUR, you can now place 25 bets instead of 5. This is one serious step towards the smaller punters.

**Changes Since December 2017**

As Sportmarket introduced Bitcoin (BTC) deposits earlier in 2017, initially the minimum amount was quite high. In November, it was lowered to 1000 EUR and since December 2017, it is now 250 EUR.

Sportmarket Pro Platform Interface

Logging into the Sportmarket Pro platform you will see a multitude of events from different sports. You can choose sport from the drop-down in the left column and view games that are In Running, Today or Early or open all at the same time. The software will store your favorite leagues/games. Additionally, there is a scroll menu on the left with all leagues and games. Thank goodness, there is a Search function with autocomplete, which comes in very handy when searching for a particular event. 

Another cool feature is the option Asian view available within the Settings – Trade page. For those that are used to the way Asian bookmakers display information, this is the way to go. 

Sportmarket Pro is free for use now (they used to charge a small monthly amount), however there are some restrictions. Accounts that have a lower betting turnover or no balance, might be closed (but it is very easy to re-open them after you contact their fast and reliable support). 

Markets and Odds (Sportmarket Pro)

When it comes to sports betting for pros – this is the platform. Sportmarket was set to offer the best odds and highest limits out there and it doesn't get any better than that. Since it offers the best odds and combined limits of 7 bookmakers and 4 exchanges, you can practically always bet 6-digit amounts on the top leagues, while securing the best odds out there. 

When placing a bet you will see the odds offered by all the supported bookmakers/exchanges and after choosing your minimum odds and amount the software will automatically start placing your bet at the best available odds and you will get instant confirmation when the bet is accepted. 

The sports covered are football, basketball, ice hockey, American football, baseball, tennis and rugby union. As of August 2017, due to the increased popularity, Sportmarket have added boxing and MMA. With the new version of the PRO Sportmarket betting platform that was launched in December 2019, they added Rugby League as well. Shortly after, in April 2020, eSports has been added to the list of available sports where you are able to bet on: Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), League of Legends (LoL), DOTA 2, Starcraft, Rainbow6. Markets include, but not limited to the standard 1X2, Asian handicap, Over/Under, team totals, corners for full-time or half-time, Both teams to score, Double chance, Correct score, Odd/Even etc.

For other sports, you will have to use individual bookmaker accounts that Sportmarket can also offer you. You can get Pinnacle accounts (PS3838) or a Matchbook account, or an ISN account, but only if you are not a resident in a country that the bookmaker restricts.

Mobile (Sportmarket Pro)

The website used to not be mobile-optimized, and a mobile application was the solution to enable you to bet freely with your phone. However, as of this September 2017, there is a new mobile version that is nothing short of awesome and it has been improved even more in 2020. Sportmarket have outperformed all competitors by launching something that is easy to navigate and place bets.
